Reinvent The Way You Snack
Healthy, yet tasty snacks can be hard to come by. When I first heard about snack subscription boxes, I imagined salty bags of chips and sugary cookies. I didn’t think I would be indulging, but I still did a little research. To my surprise, I was successfully able to find a few of them that offer budget-friendly and healthy options!
One of these, which I subscribed to, is Graze. In addition to the numerous monthly Graze reviews above, this review shares my first experience with the subscription. You’ll find what this subscription box service provides, see it compared with to similar boxes, discover saving opportunities, and more!
The Website
Their website is pretty straightforward and even shares the Graze box free sample deal right on the homepage, which I’ll detail more about in a couple of paragraphs below. They explain how their subscription boxes work and share some positive reviews from their customers on the homepage.
Moreover, there is an online shop that has the entire collection of snacks they include in their boxes. You can also find a store locator on Graze’s website, which lists all the physical stores in which you can purchase their snack packs and sometimes even full-size bags.
Aside from their extensive FAQ section, there are a few more pages about the company, and links to their blog and social media accounts. Another thing to mention in my Graze review is that their blog has hundreds of helpful food-related and fitness posts. You should check it out to discover various recipes, snack recommendations, foods to fuel your workout, and other tips and tricks.
Are Graze Snacks Healthy?
Yes! Their subscription is pretty unique because all of the snacks are made by their own personal brand. They’re healthy, nutritious, and they don’t use any GMOs (genetically modified ingredients). They also don’t contain any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
Graze Snacks + Subscription
For starters, they offer three different box options. There’s an eight-snack variety box, a calorie count box, or a protein box. After you subscribe, you can set your taste and dietary preferences, and your box will be personalized around them.
Some of their dietary preference options include vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free. And if that’s not enough, you can even go through the list and decide which snacks you don’t want to receive! I’d say these features are just one quality that makes the Graze box price worth it. With all of these options, your boxes will always have a variety of snacks – even if you have specific dietary preferences.
How Much Does Graze Cost Per Month?
Each box comes with eight snack packs and costs $13.99, including free shipping. You can choose to have weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or even one-time deliveries. You can also pause your box if you want to take a break at any time.
How Do I Cancel My Graze Box Permanently?
If you’re wondering how to cancel Graze completely rather than pausing, you can easily do so on the website. All you have to do is log in to your customer account and click on the link that says “manage recurring order”. Follow the prompts, and you won’t be sent any more boxes as long as you cancel before your cut-off time.
Often times, when you try to cancel, they’ll offer your next box for half off as a last resort to get you to stay. You can always take this deal and then cancel after!
Graze Coupon & Deals
As for coupons, Graze has some great deals available to help you save money! For example, if you want to try out the subscription, they offer a free trial sampler box. You will only have to pay the shipping fee to get a box with four snack packs.
To get this deal, you might be able to find it advertised on their homepage. If this deal isn’t there, you’ll find a half off deal for the full-size box. This is another great coupon and might even be a better deal because shipping is free!
If you really want the free box and it isn’t on the homepage, you might search something along the lines of “Graze.com free sample box” to bring you to the free box page. The red button at the top of our review will bring you there as well!
As you might guess, signing up for the free box signs you up for one of their recurring snack subscription boxes. Luckily, you can cancel anytime. If you get the trial box, you’ll also become eligible for a 10% discount on all future boxes.
As there were only a few saving opportunities this month, you might want to check out recent Graze box reviews I’ve posted. I’ll make sure to post any saving opportunities I come across in each update.
Subscription Box Alternatives
While Graze is one of the most popular snack boxes, there are plenty of other similar subscriptions on the market. As I like to try as many as I can, you should also have a look at my NatureBox reviews. In addition, check out what Degustabox offers as well as my similar review of Urthbox.
It’s hard to choose between all these snack boxes without having a look at what existing customers have to say about them. For instance, when I was searching for Graze reviews, Reddit was one of my go-to places to learn more about their offer and compare them with competitors. The best reviews are always from people who have tried and tested all of the competing subscriptions. Now that I’ve tried so many, I can say that my reviews fall in that category!
That said, make sure to check out my monthly Graze reviews. I’ll be comparing the snack boxes I receive to the ones from the subscription services I mentioned above. For what it’s worth, if I come across other noteworthy competitors, I might subscribe to receive a few more boxes as well.
This next section will share my first unboxing!
First Graze Unboxing
I subscribed to the vegan box near the end of April and received my first in mid-June. My snacks were shipped in a well-designed dark orange box. Upon unboxing, I discovered eight snack packs as promised. Each was packed neatly in the box. Their boxes have special compartments for each package, so they look organized and don’t move around during shipping.
They also included a helpful sheet with nutritional information for all the snacks I received.
This sheet also had coupons that you can tear off and give to friends!
Since there are eight snack packs, there will also be 8 Graze snacks reviews, so let’s begin!
Veggie Protein Power
I usually can’t stand edamame (which is 1/3 of this snack). I loved this one though, even the edamame! It also contains spicy chickpeas and salt and pepper seasoned cashews. I think I liked it because the edamame was dried out rather than the squishy, gross texture when it’s cooked.
This pack contains 170 calories, 22% of your daily fiber needs, and 10g of protein!
Cacao & Orange
The Cacao & Orange snack pack has chopped dates, raw almonds, and superfruit pieces of real orange and cacao nibs! This one is fantastic. It’s sweet due to the orange. Although they’re a customer-favorite item in many Graze reviews, I wasn’t a huge fan of the dates, but everything else was yummy.
Garden of England
Garden of England is a yummy mixture of mini strawberries, blackcurrants, and soft apple slices. I thought it was delicious! I’m very picky about dried fruit – especially strawberries – but the texture of these was perfect.
There are 80 calories, 19g of carbohydrates, and just 2g of fiber in this. There’s no protein, which is unsurprising since it’s just a fruit mixture.
Sweet Rhubarb Jam
The Sweet Rhubarb Jam snack pack consists of rhubarb, soft apple pieces, and cranberries. I had never tried rhubarb before. I’m glad I got to try it out for the first time with my first Graze subscription because I really enjoyed it! It’s got a unique tart flavor that mixed well with the sweet cranberries and apple pieces.
As for nutritional information, this one contains 100 calories, 12% of your daily fiber, and 20g of sugar. It’s a good source of fiber, but there’s no protein in this one either.
Vitamin E Defense
Next up in this Graze review is one of my favorite snacks! Roasted hazelnuts, redskin peanuts, jumbo raisins, and cranberries combine to create the delicious Vitamin E Defense snack pack. As you might be able to tell by the name, it’s a great source of Vitamin E and is also high in manganese (which helps protect cells from stress). Hazelnuts are my favorite nut, so that’s a big part of why I liked it so much.
The Vitamin E Defense snack contains 190 calories, 12g of sugar, 10% of daily fiber needs, and 5g of protein.
Jalapeno Cheese Taco
I was surprised to see this flavor in my vegan box. I had to double check the ingredients, but it’s completely vegan! It’s made of fava beans, sunflower oil, and chili broad beans. The ‘cheese’ flavoring is made of natural and vegan flavors, which they list in the ingredients. This is my favorite snack in the box. According to Graze reviews on Yelp, people who regularly eat cheese might not be as happy with the flavor, but I thought it was delicious!
There are 140 calories, 14% of your daily fiber, and 6g of protein in this yummy snack pack.
Sweet & Spicy Beet Crunch
I’m not a fan of beets, so I wasn’t stoked to see this snack. That being said, I sucked it up and it was actually tasty! I’m glad they included this in my Graze variety box. It’s made with dried beet chips, sunflower seeds, and jalapeno chickpeas. It turns out beets are another vegetable I can’t stand when they’re cooked, but this dried chip version is tolerable. The chips weren’t seasoned very well so they didn’t taste like much.
This only has 100 calories – less than most of their snacks have, but it also has a good amount of fiber at 13% of your daily needs and 4g of protein (9% of your daily value).
Final Notes
All in all, I enjoyed my first box. The price seemed a little steep to me at first, but I was glad they offered the Graze free box code and half off deal to give it a try for cheaper. Since it regularly costs $13.99 for the 8-piece snack box, it comes to around $1.75 each snack. However, since I paid half price, it was really around 87 cents each snack pack.
I noticed customers posting on Instagram about creative ways they eat their snacks, such as mixing them into their cereal or on top of desserts. Or, you can just eat the snack pack how it is, which is delicious as well. Graze even helped me discover that I like some vegetables I thought I didn’t!
This would make an excellent box for anyone who loves healthy snacks and would make a thoughtful gift as well. You could either gift someone a box or send them a voucher to customize it on their own. Check the top of the page for newer Graze reviews to explore more snacks I receive. I’ll also share more deals and discounts I come across, as well as compare Graze with competing subscription boxes.
