Did you know that Firstleaf has a 98% accuracy rate in wines you’ll enjoy based on your preferences?

We’ve gone through hundreds of Firstleaf reviews to bring you the most comprehensive breakdown of how it works and what you can expect.

Let’s explore the pricing, pros, cons, and everything in between.

All About Firstleaf

We’re on a mission to find the best monthly boxes. Today, we’re focusing on Firstleaf — a super popular subscription. Let’s see what it has to offer.

Overview and HighlightsFirstleaf wine bottles

Founded in 2015 by Phillip James, Firstleaf Wine Club started as a way for customers to find excellent wine, personally tailored to their preferences. The subscription isn’t just about fantastic wine but also convenience and fair pricing

Firstleaf has years of experience in the wine industry. That knowledge, paired with a desire to include customers in the wine curation journey, sets it apart. So much so that the service became the winner of the Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competitions, Wine Company of the Year, in April 2021.

Firstleaf Is Best For

If you want to learn about wine and find more blends and brands you enjoy, Firstleaf is a good starting point.

Firstleaf Is Not Good For

Based on our Firstleaf review, the service may not be the best choice if you know exactly what wine you want. But if you’re open to exploring new tastes, you might want to give it a try.

What Does Firstleaf Offer?

Firstleaf wine bottlesFirstleaf is a personalized club that sends wine based on your preferences. It relies heavily on your feedback to deliver excellent bottles. Plus, it gives you the best possible price on wine from all over the world.

At the start of your Firstleaf subscription, you’ll fill in a quiz to establish what you enjoy. Based on this, you’ll receive six bottles in your first order. Make sure to rate each one to get even more personalized future deliveries.

Firstleaf customer reviews love the feedback system. It’s unsurprising given that the service has a 98% accuracy when selecting wines you’ll like. Plus, if you need additional help, there’s an on-call concierge team to help you find the perfect pairing.

Some featured and favorite wines include:

  • Penrose Hill — 2020 Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands, California)
  • Mannaggia All’Alba — 2019 Sangiovese (Rubicone IGT, Italy)
  • Open Secret—2019 Pinotage (Western Cape, South Africa)
  • The Perfect No. 6 — 2020 Shiraz (South Australia, Australia)
  • Che Boludo — 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon (Mendoza, Argentina)

If all that sounds like a different language to you, don’t stress. The service has a lot of additional information in its “Wine School” section. The Firstleaf club reviews this often, so it’s always up-to-date. It provides all the must-know details about wine and in-depth information on different selections.

Supporting MaterialsFirstleaf wine bottles

Your box comes with reading materials explaining what each wine is, the structure, nutritional information, where it’s made, and how best to enjoy it.

Once you know how to pair your wine, you can make use of meal kits to avoid wasting time cooking. We recommend checking our Home Chef breakdown to learn more about that.

Firstleaf Add-ons

Based on Firstleaf reviews, you don’t have to subscribe to enjoy the wine selection. You can purchase wine bottles individually. That said, you won’t take advantage of the subscription discount.

Managing Your Subscription

Once your profile is up and running, you can make changes to the subscription directly. That includes changing the frequency — monthly or every 2–3 months. So you can easily skip a few months.

If you want to cancel, you can call the service directly or email. We’ll tell you how to do that shortly. But some Firstleaf wine club reviews don’t like that they have to speak directly with the service to cancel.

The company aims to ensure your pleasant experience with its service. So if you’re not satisfied with a wine bottle, you can contact the team within 30 days and get credit to your account. Firstleaf awards

Looking through the hundreds of Firstleaf reviews, we have to say we’re very impressed. Most customers are delighted with the service and products. Here’s what they say:

Still, we also found a few Firstleaf negative reviews. They’re mostly about account problems, with some suggesting the billing may be an issue. Despite that, Firstleaf ratings are brilliant, ranging between 3–4.6 stars

Firstleaf Alternatives — How Does It Compare?

Making your final subscription choice may take some time. You’ll want to compare all the wine clubs to see what works for you. So we’ve put three popular wine subscriptions up against each other to help you along:
